Frequently asked questions

Everything about making thumbnails with ThumbSpark, credits and billing, and how we handle your images.

Making thumbnails

What is ThumbSpark?

An AI YouTube thumbnail maker. You chat with an AI agent about your video; it proposes a thumbnail, you approve it, and it generates the image. You can then edit it just by asking. See all features.

Do I need design skills?

No. Describe the video in your own words — the agent handles layout, colour, text and lighting, following proven thumbnail best practices.

Can I put my own face in thumbnails?

Yes. Upload a few photos once as a character and feature yourself in any thumbnail.

Can it keep my channel’s style?

Yes. Create an AI agent with your niche, colours and reference thumbnails; every project starts on-brand.

What sizes can I make?

16:9 YouTube thumbnails (1280×720 and up), plus other ratios like 9:16 for Shorts. See the size guide.

Can I edit a thumbnail after it’s generated?

Yes — describe the change and a new version is created next to the original. See edit by chat.

Credits and billing

How much does a thumbnail cost?

Each generation uses credits based on its real AI cost (1 credit = $0.01 of AI usage), so a thumbnail typically costs a few cents of credits. See pricing.

Is there a free trial?

You can test ThumbSpark with a low-cost one-time trial pack — no subscription. The free tools need no account at all.

Do credits expire?

Monthly plan credits reset each renewal. Trial and extra credit packs are valid for the number of days shown when you buy them.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.

Rights and privacy

Do I own the thumbnails I create?

You can use the thumbnails you create for your videos and channel, including commercially. See the terms.

Are my photos used to train AI?

No. We don’t use your uploads to train our own models; they’re processed only to run your requests. See the privacy policy.

Can I use other people’s thumbnails as references?

As style inspiration, yes — ThumbSpark creates an original image and instructs the model not to copy subjects. Don’t upload other people’s faces without their permission.
